Building a Safer
Music Industry
Together.
About MSA
We are working to create a music industry where everyone can create, work, show up, without fear and thrive.
Our Mission
At Music Safety Alliance, we believe the music industry should be a place where creativity can flourish because people feel safe, supported, and valued. Too often, artists, industry professionals, and fans face challenges such as burnout, harassment, discrimination, unsafe working environments, and a lack of accessible resources. We believe these issues can be addressed through education, collaboration, and a shared commitment to cultural change.
Our mission is to equip the music community with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to build healthier, more inclusive spaces at every level of the industry. Through educational programming, workshops, advocacy, partnerships, and community-driven initiatives, we empower individuals and organizations to prevent harm, foster accountability, and prioritize well-being alongside creativity.
We aren't here to police the industry, we're here to strengthen it. By bringing people together around shared values of safety, respect, and sustainability, we're helping build a music ecosystem where everyone has the opportunity to create, work, and belong with confidence.
OUR VALUES
The Principals that guide us
Safety First
Education Empowers
People Over Performance
Everyone deserves to create, work, and participate in music spaces free from harm, harassment, discrimination, and unnecessary risk. We are committed to fostering environments where people feel protected, respected, and supported.
Knowledge creates change.
We believe education, resources, and open conversations give individuals and organizations the tools they need to make informed decisions, prevent harm, and build stronger communities.
The music industry is powered by people. We advocate for sustainable careers, mental well-being, healthy boundaries, and a culture that values human health and dignity as much as professional success.
